For their solution, the owner gave a strict standard. First of all, it must have utility, and secondly it must be perfectly matched with the interior of the car, and it should not be incompatible. Finally, it must be easy to disassemble in case the car is used for display in the future.

Redstack's designers used Autodesk Inventor, a design software from Autodesk, to design and quickly prototype and modify prototypes. Because each iteration is part of the entire design chain, it can be restored to the original design state with one click if needed.

In the design phase, they used the Ultimaker 2 3D printer and prototyped with PLA material to quickly test each design iteration. Once the final design is finalized, high quality ABS material is printed to ensure durability.

The end result is very satisfying, not only perfectly inserted into the ashtray in the car, firm and stable. It is also very easy to disassemble and can guarantee that the car will not affect the original appearance at any time.
